North Hills keeps proving that its live-work-play pitch has some legs—and apparently, a few full office floors left to fill.

Couchbase, Inc., a California-based operational data platform company focused on AI, has signed a lease for approximately 20,000 square feet at The Offices at North Hills. The company will occupy a full floor at 4350 Lassiter in the Main District, where it plans to establish a new Raleigh Center of Excellence.

The move adds another tech name to North Hills’ growing roster of office tenants and speaks to the district’s appeal as more than a shopping and dining destination. For companies trying to bring employees back into the office, having restaurants, coffee, retail, fitness, and after-work options just steps away doesn’t hurt.

Couchbase CEO BJ Schaknowski said the Raleigh office will serve as a collaborative home for innovation while helping the company connect with customers and tap into the area’s technology talent.

For Kane Realty, the lease is another sign that North Hills continues to attract companies seeking office space that offers convenience, walkability, and easy access to amenities.

In other words, North Hills is still selling the same idea—but companies keep buying it.
