A new early childhood education option has opened in Raleigh’s North Hills area.
The Goddard School of Raleigh North Hills recently opened at 3803-B Computer Drive, becoming the eighth Goddard School location in the Raleigh area. The nearly 15,000-square-foot school includes 13 classrooms and is designed to serve about 210 children, from six weeks to 6 years old. The new location is also expected to add more than 35 teaching jobs.
Rachelle Lay Hughes owns the school and has served as director of operations at The Goddard School of Raleigh–Ridge Road since 2018. Hughes is partnering with Ridge Road owner Jon Seier on the new location.
“My journey in education has reinforced just how important the early years are in shaping a child’s confidence, relationships and lifelong love of learning,” Hughes said. “I’m thrilled to open our doors in Raleigh, support local families and provide a place where children can reach their full potential.”
Amenities at the new school include an indoor gymnasium and three outdoor playgrounds. Students will also have access to enrichment programs including Spanish, yoga, Kidstunes and Kidokinetics.
The school will celebrate its opening with a free grand opening event Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m.–noon, featuring family-friendly activities and refreshments.
