Understanding and Improving Garden Soils

January 29 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Gardeners spend most of their time thinking “above ground,” ruminating about plants, combinations, color, texture, light exposure, water and temperature. Gardening success is equally dependent on what is going on below ground.

Even if you’ve taken Bryce’s intensive morning soils workshop in the past, you won’t want to miss this expanded 4-week class that digs even deeper into all things soil. A scientific understanding of soil chemistry, physics, biology, and fertility will help us understand basic soil principles, which we can apply to improve our garden soils, properly prepare our garden beds, create great compost, fertilize appropriately, and maximize growth in all our garden spaces.
