“Artful Evenings” Artist in Residence Series @ JB Duke Hotel  

The AAA Four Diamond JB Duke Hotel returns with Artful Evenings, an artist-in-residence series offering guests rare, up-close access to some of the Triangle’s most compelling creative voices, curated in partnership with the Durham Art Guild. Each Tuesday, the contemporary Lobby Lounge transforms into a working studio where guests can watch original artwork come to life in real time.

Throughout the series, artists work across a wide range of mediums, including figure, landscape, experimental pieces and bold fine art. Guests experience the work as it evolves, gaining insight into techniques and inspiration directly from the artist. The result feels personal, immersive and grounded in the Triangle’s diverse artistic community.

Guests are encouraged to settle in by the fireplace, enjoy a handcrafted cocktail and experience the creative process from the first mark to the finishing touch. Complemented by shareable plates and seasonal entrées from the Lobby Lounge menu, the evening blends the energy of a gallery setting with the ease of a refined night out.
