The Carolina Hurricanes are taking greater control of how fans watch the team with the launch of a new, team-owned sports network.

Brian Fork, CEO of Hurricanes Holdings, announced that the yet-to-be-named network will become the exclusive local television home of Hurricanes hockey. Hurricanes Holdings will oversee the network’s production, distribution, advertising sales and marketing in collaboration with the National Hockey League.

“We’re thrilled to launch our own sports network and provide consistent access to Hurricanes hockey for our great fans,” Fork says. “More than ever before, the organization will have the freedom to deliver innovative programming that strengthens the connection between the team, its fans and its community partners.”

Fans will be able to watch Hurricanes games through several options, including cable, satellite and streaming services. The organization plans to announce the network’s name, branding, distribution partners, channel locations and direct-to-consumer streaming prices before the start of the regular season.

The broadcast team will remain familiar to Hurricanes fans. Mike Maniscalco will return as the team’s play-by-play announcer alongside television analyst Tripp Tracy.

Maniscalco, named the 2025 North Carolina Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association, is entering his 11th season with the Hurricanes and his seventh as the team’s television play-by-play voice. Tracy, a former professional goaltender, will begin his 28th season as the team’s television analyst.

The announcement follows significant television interest during Carolina’s run to the 2026 Stanley Cup championship. The Hurricanes’ six-game Stanley Cup Final series against the Vegas Golden Knights became the fifth-most-watched Cup Final on record and attracted the series’ largest television audience since 2019.

TNT Sports’ coverage of Carolina’s Eastern Conference Final series against the Montreal Canadiens was also the network’s most-watched conference final to date.
Additional information about the new network and how fans can access it is expected before the Hurricanes begin the regular season.
