Raleigh foodies have a new reason to celebrate. Napa Bistro & Wine Bar, a concept inspired by the heart of California’s wine country, officially opens at 5 p.m. at its brand-new Glenwood Place location.

This marks the first expansion outside the Charlotte area for Conway Restaurant Group, which is behind some of the Queen City’s most beloved dining experiences. The restaurant group has built its reputation on delivering thoughtfully curated menus, warm hospitality and elevated yet accessible dining.

The vision for Napa Bistro is to recreate the laid-back sophistication of a California wine-tasting room, blending vibrant seasonal cuisine with a handpicked list of premium wines. When I took a seat at the bar, my intuition told me this isn’t just a place to eat and run; it’s an enjoyable hangout to stay and indulge in the ambiance of great wine and food.

“We’ve always believed that the best memories are made around the table with a great meal and a good glass of wine,” said Jeff Conway, co-founder and owner of Conway Restaurant Group. “We can’t wait for our friends here in Raleigh to experience that spirit of connection and our signature take on hospitality. Our guests at Glenwood Place will feel right at home.”

The new Raleigh location, at 3711 Exchange Glenwood Place, is set to feature signature Napa-style touches—from modern rustic interiors to a spacious bar, cozy patio and private dining space in the back. On the menu: fresh, locally sourced ingredients, globally influenced small plates, and a standout wine list highlighting the best of the West Coast. Think labels such as Orin Swift, Burly, Stag’s Leap, Silver Oak, Switchback Ridge, Far Niente, Chappellet and Opus One—to name a few.
The dining space will open up for future events such as wine dinners with California winemakers.
I was fortunate enough to sample some small bites, including Napa’s seared ahi tuna with togarashi spices, cast iron meatballs, lump crab cakes and braised short rib with creamy cumin polenta.

The opening continues the restaurant’s mission to grow beyond Charlotte while maintaining a sense of community and craftsmanship at every location. With brunch, happy hour and dinner service planned, Napa Bistro & Wine Bar is poised to become one of Raleigh’s newest dining destinations for casual and special occasions.

Go check them out. Cheers.
