Plant Lover’s Tour: “Trees that Make Great Shade” with Greg Paige, JCRA Director of Horticulture

Love plants? So do we! And by this point in the summer there’s nothing we love more about plants than the delightfully refreshing shade they provide. Come take a walk in the garden with our Director of Horticulture (and Certified Tree Nut) Greg Paige as he waxes poetic, philosophic and botanic about his favorite trees for providing respite from the scorching summer sun.

Greg will highlight sprawling behemoths with shade enough for the whole city, as well as smaller selections that fit modern gardens while still making spaces livable for people, wildlife and plants. You will see beautiful trees, feel the comfort they provide and experience the plant-love you can only find at the JCRA — you don’t want to miss this!
