Gift of Home Celebrations

The evening fundraiser will bring together community leaders, advocates and supporters from across the Triangle to raise critical funds and awareness for the organization’s mission. Guests will enjoy a plated dinner, participate in a live auction, and connect with fellow changemakers committed to creating lasting impact in Wake County.

Founded in 2019, Oak City Cares serves as a centralized access point for individuals in need, connecting them to coordinated, compassionate care. Through partnerships with local agencies, the organization provides housing assistance, primary and mental healthcare, employment support, and basic needs services—all within one welcoming environment.

Programs such as Care Coordination, Weekend Meals, and Basic Needs are designed to address immediate challenges while helping individuals build pathways toward long-term stability. By streamlining access to services and reducing barriers, Oak City Cares continues to play a vital role in supporting some of Wake County’s most vulnerable residents.

“The Gift of Home Celebration is more than a fundraiser—it’s a powerful reminder of what our community can accomplish when we come together,” said Executive Director Kathy Johnson. “Every ticket purchased and every dollar raised helps us expand access to essential services and create opportunities for individuals to move toward stable housing and brighter futures.”

Proceeds from the event will directly support Oak City Cares programs and services.
